Morningstar Tristar MPPT 30 Solar Charge Regulator
The Tristar MPPT 30 is an advanced maximum power point tracking (MPPT) charge controller for off-grid solar PV systems up to 1.6kW (48V).
Maximum solar PV array sizes for Tristar MPPT 30A :
- 12V = 400W
- 24V = 800W
- 48V = 1600W
This controller is extremely reliable due to its robust thermal design, coated printed circuit boards and extensive electronic protections. Including: overload; short circuit; high voltage; high temperature; lightning & transient surges; nightime reverse current.
Peak efficiency of 99% is achieved using TrakStar MPPT Technology. This maximises the PV energy harvested by rapidly finding the solar array peak power point via extremely fast sweeping of the entire I-V curve.
The Tristar MPPT can be used with solar arrays with a maximum open circuit voltage of 150 VDC and battery systems of 12, 24, 36 or 48 VDC.
Capable of continuous operation at full power at up to 45 deg C without need to de-rate.
A remote temperature sensor is included and optional displays are available.
An optional LCD digital backlit display is available (included with the M version) and provides system & controller information: battery voltage; current; temperature; amp-hours and error mode. Versions mount either on face of the controller or remotely.
